The owner of this small HVAC company had his vehicle and trailer vandalized by an unknown criminal. The owner takes pride in his vehicle and like many other small business owners, does what he can to get noticed. He doesn`t have a fleet of vehicles, so this equipment and his marketing approach is important on looking good when seen working around town. In less than a minute, the suspect or suspects caused a lot of damage. If you know who did the damage to this equipment, contact Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 806-374-4400 or submit a web-tip right here. It`s always anonymous and if your information leads to the identification and arrest of the suspect, you could be eligible for a reward!

Potter County Sheriff’s Office needs your help solving a crime that happened around 4am on Wednesday August 12, 2015. We had our speed trailer on Western Street close to Yucca. This is done to inform drivers of their speed and to get them to slow down. Someone or several folks thought it would be fun to go push the trailer over. The trailer that cost us close to $6700 dollars was damaged. This trailer is used throughout the county to help folks be aware of their speed and slow down and help make our roads safer. We use it intensely in our school zones during the school year. For someone to go out and damage the trailer was just childish and we would love to know who is responsible. If you have any information on this trailer being damaged we would appreciate any calls to Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400 or Student Crime Stoppers at 372-8477. All calls are kept anonymous and you could be eligible for a cash reward for the information leading to arrest in this case.

On 02/07/15 at approximately 2:35 am a Potter County Deputy conducted a traffic stop of a motor vehicle in the area of Western and Fairway. Shortly after making contact with the occupants, it was learned the passenger had an outstanding arrest warrant out of the Amarillo Police Department. A second Potter County patrol unit arrived on scene and the Amarillo Police Department was notified and summoned to take custody of the arrested party. While deputies were waiting the arrival of the APD, they heard multiple gunshots in the area of Hester and Hester, northwest of their location. Deputies reported hearing spent rounds flying in their immediate area, ricocheting rounds, and a dull thud. However, no vehicles and or muzzle flash was seen. Approximately 6 gunshots were heard as deputies took cover behind their vehicles. Deputies notified Potter County Dispatch of the gunshots and requested additional units to the scene to assist. After a short period, no additional gunshots were heard deputies began to inspect their units for damage. Deputies noticed the right rear window of one of the patrol units shattered and what appeared to be a single bullet impact point. During this same timeframe, deputies heard Amarillo Police units being dispatched to the area of Colonial Street on gunshots. Colonial street is in the area of Western and Fairway and deputies went to that location where they met with Officers of the Amarillo Police Department. There, deputies learned that a rear door of a residence had been broken out reportedly from a bullet. Deputies and APD Officers were able to establish trajectory of the bullet entering the home and estimated the origin to be in the area of Hester and Hester, northwest of the damaged home. Deputies went to the Hester and Hester intersection where they recovered some evidence. Presently there are no suspects and the investigation is ongoing. The public is encouraged to contact Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400 or the Potter Sheriff`s office.
